Dr. Jamie L. Thompson currently serves as the Associate Director of Educational Development at Texas A&M University's Center for Teaching Excellence, where she leads strategic initiatives that support faculty and graduate student teaching development. With a background in instructional design and curriculum development across K-12 and higher education, she focuses on strengthening teaching through evidence-based practices and the thoughtful integration of emerging technologies

In her role, Dr. Thompson partners with faculty to design effective learning environments, refine curriculum, and align pedagogy with institutional priorities. She brings expertise in instructional systems design, pedagogical strategy, and technology integration to address teaching challenges and develop practical, scalable solutions.

Dr. Thompson earned her Ed.D in Education from Sam Houston State University, specializing in Instructional Systems Design and Technology. She also holds a Mast of Education in Instructional Systems Design and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.

She is committed to advancing educational excellence by strengthening teaching practices, expanding faculty support, and promoting high-quality, accessible learning environments across the institution.
